WBC14 Live Wine Blogging
Kick Ass Speed Blogging… say what?
The "Live Wine Blogging" event at the 2014 Wine Bloggers Conference in Santa Barbara County was a kick. I like to call it Speed Blogging. They had one for white wines and one for reds. What is "Live Wine Blogging" you ask? Check out the video.

The Case of the Missing Wives
Winery tasting rooms, like the one at Malaga Springs Winery, make for the perfect "girls" outing — Right? I ran across this fun-loving group the other day who proved to be very entertaining. You go girls!

Aerialist, Julie Istvan, puts on a stellar performance at Boudreaux Cellars 2013 Wine Club Party. After tasting amazing new Boudreaux Cellars wine releases, hors d'oeuvres, and music by Beth Whitney (accompanied by winemaker Rob Newsom on slide guitar for a couple numbers) under blue skies, the wine club members were treated to Julie's aerial acrobatics. Just one more reason to love Boudreaux Cellars!

Bluegrass at Icicle Brewing Company
Jamming at Icicle Brewing Company with winemaker Chuck Egner of '37 Cellars
What do winemakers do when they're not making wine? Well, sometimes they drink beer and make music… Bluegrass music. Roughly twice a month (always on Thursdays), Chuck Egner of '37 Cellars organizes a Bluegrass jamming session at Icicle Brewing Company in Leavenworth, Washington with a bunch of his musician friends (that's Chuck playing bass, guitar, and singing a little). You never know how many musicians will show up, but it's always a good time. Rob Newsom of Boudreaux Cellars is there on occasion joining in with his slide guitar. This past Thursday, there were even a few more local winemakers just hanging out and enjoying the beer, wine and music. How fun is that!
